I work with paper, cutting, tearing, slicing, and layering to create a semi-realistic image. It creates a painting like quality until you get close and see that the texture, depth, light and shadow are developed through the layering, texture and choice of colored paper.

Anhinga sunning

Anhinga spreading wings to dry in the sun. Anhingas are diving birds but unlike ducks their wings do not have oil. So they must dry their wings by sitting with their wings stretched out for long periods of time. Paper, gel medium on canvas

Please stand 10 feet (3 meters) back from a wall
